I recently bought a Canon Ixus 95IS to replace a Samsung D53 digital camera. With 5mp the Samsung still produced some pretty good quality images when viewed on a PC screen. So we expected that the jump to 10mp with the new Canon would produce even better quality. But the first batch of images from the Canon (which performed very well) were disappointing as many landscape view that cintained straight edges appeared 'wavy' and lines such as power cables appeared to be twisted, also the ground such grass/dirt/tarmac appeared to have bright spots. I'm strictly a novice photographer, so I've done some digging around and think I've founf this to be 'aliasing'. Is my assumption be correct, and is there anything I can do to view photos on the PC using max resolution of 1680x1050? Can anyone out there please advise?
Thanks to all...
