I was asked to photography an engagment. I am not doing the wedding becasue the bride to be is going to her home state to be married late next year. How do you figure out how much to charge for the job? For aurgument sake let's say I photograph them for 2 hours, want prints and do work in photoshop. I understand photoshop is where your work really begins. How do you begin to figure out pricing?

just a few questions first
are you amateur/professional
have you got public liability insurance
have you got to travel or stay overnight
are you printing yourself
have you the confidence to do justice to the event
a semi pro I know charges 50 pence a mile over 5 miles
he has public liability insurance to the value of £1000000 wouldn't quote how much it cost
9" x 6" prints are £10 each unframed
15 " x 10" are £15 each unframed
and hourly rate for photographing subject £20 - minimum of 2 hrs
hope that throws some light on the subject or has it fogged your paper more
