Right, I shoot with a Nikon D90, which in my opinion is a great camera. I am only 17, have a reasonably good weekend job paying £50 cach a day, I am also in college, I am really really keen on wildlife photography I'm just not getting the shots I want with my Sigma 18-125 lens. I am looking for the most reccomended..

Zoom Lens This is the big one, My budget would be about £1500 no more, the less the better, I would go with the £400 70-300 but i want to invest in this lens and go semi pro. the higher zoom the better.

Macro No more that £500 if possibly, I am really not very fussed with his lens but it would be a good one to have.

Any sugestions would be highly accpeted

Personally i would look at tameron lenses there great for the sort of thing you need and because their 3rd party there not too expencive either

I love Nikon gear. Having said that I am not a fanboy to deny goodies and goldies from 3rd party. From my own experience I can advice for:
1. crop sensor
Sigma 50-150/2.8 - its unbelievable good for the money... great IQ, compact size & weight
2. full frame
24/1.8 - better at f2.8 than Nikon 24/2.8 AF-D. Not a beast in IQ but you can do your job, excepting maybe landscapes
50/1.4 - if you get a good copy this is the 50 you need for weddings & family
85/1.4 - some says that is very close to Nikon 85/1.4 G, other says that is equal to it... IMHO it is better than 85G... Anyhow, it is really great for the money. The cons: is heavy and bulky.
150/2.8 Great for macro and as a telephoto. Is an amazing piece of glass.

A latest lens for NIKON- The Zeiss 25mm f/2 Distagon is a full-frame, manual-focus-only, fully meter- and EXIF-coupled lens for Nikon or Canon SLRs. Compared head-to-head at the test range, the Zeiss 25/2 is much sharper at large apertures than any of Canon's newest ultrawide zooms like the 16-35mm f/2.8 L II or 17-40mm f/4 L, or the Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM.
