My Canon S9000 prints a considerable degree to magenta when I ID the paper as 'gloss photo', regardless of the media. However, when set to 'plain paper' the color balance looks fine, again, regardless of the media used. Color setting is set on auto. Ideas?

This may be a stupid question
but why are you setting the paper type to gloss photo, when the actual paper may be a different kind? What happens if you match the paper setting in the software to the actual paper - does it print OK then?
