SmartMargin.com has announced the launch of PortfolioProof, a new way for creative professionals to create and manage online portfolios.

"There are a lot of sites on the 'Net where you can upload images, " owner Anthony Bielby points out. "The problem for professionals is that the choice is usually to share with everyone or not to share at all. You don't have easy options to only share with a select group of people for review and feedback. "

PortfolioProof solves that problem by giving you the power to create multiple portfolios which automatically generate secure, interactive and attractive galleries. Each portfolio is configurable so you can allow all registered users to access it or limit it to the specific client.

When galleries are created, functionality is automatically built allowing users to create image annotations, bookmarks, comments, to-do items, peek at a larger view, browse in full screen mode, or download the original image. Context sensitive search and the built-in dashboard make it easy to find images as your site grows. All these features - including download - are attached to convenient security settings so you can turn individual bits of functionality on and off for different users.

"When you're looking for clients to select images or comment on designs, your options are either to deal with sending huge images via email or try to deal with intranet and project management software that is geared to project managers. With features like image annotations and drag/drop sorting, PortfolioProof is geared to photographers and designers without sacrificing management tools and security."
PortfolioProof is installed on the customer's own web server so they have complete control and can be configured and customized so it meets individual branding requirements. Simple configuration tools can change the look and feel of the site with a few clicks or modify underlying HTML/CSS files to give the site a completely custom look.
