Hi,
My objective is to teach myself to take great portrait and candid photographs of my young family. I don't have the time to go to evening classes, owing to the age of my kids, so my preference is to self teach using books and/or internet sources - and trial and error!
I'd say my skill level is a 'good novice' and I have a Canon EOS 400D. Can anyone recommend resources that would be worth checking out. Specifically covering: techniques, lens choice, lighting etc?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Gillan

Hi, I agree Google is your friend....plenty of resources and learning aids. That's how I taught myself, plus some help from people on the blog.
