I m quite new in this and I have to get a new digital camera. Narrowed in on a micro four thirds. And the Lumix G3 is a nice price and size thing, I guess. The GH3 seems to be even better, but is it just better video here (external mic - which is great - but not a must for me). What does Pentax do in that field? Nikon? I m not going for Sony, is that wrong? Canon?
Its hard to find answers on though use like rain, snow, ice, cold. I m a lit skeptical with those nice tuch screen displays - how do they behave in < -10° C? Its not a toy but should have a bunch of useful features and a good video usability is welcome. It does not has to be waterproof, but as I say has to tolerate some suboptimal conditions... I have children as well...
It does not has to be the ...smallest and lightest compact system camera with a built-in viewfinder.
Nice to have: god relation between lightwhigt and optical/practical performance. Speed - fast and great all round features are also great. And: do I need a built in viewfinder? What for.
I had a Sigma DP2 and shes making very nice pics but f... slow and she needs so much light to work ...makes her not useful for a not arranging, unprofessional occaisonal fotographer like me.
Money is not everythin. I would like to habe the best solution for my needs < 1000$.
Are there any suggestions / professional or experience based hints out there? I would be happy to here from you!
