as I thing most of the readers are usually downloading their photos from their camera to a PC, I thing they are interested in automating the download process.
I've tried a freeware program named cam2pc at http://www.nabocorp.com/cam2pc/
In one operation, this small software does the following:
* it reads the exif data of the photos on the media
* it creates new directories based on the exif data and the name you like
* it renames all files with a mask of the exif data
after that you can browse you photo and whatever...
This is an example of a file name automaticly created by cam2pc:
C:\_Photos\_NEW\2004-04-12\P-2004-04-12 14h 17 Villers.JPG

everything that I have underscored has been automaticly created by cam2pc. The "villers" is a comment that you can add at download time.
