My one requirement is that the camera be able to take good still pictures under indoor low light conditions, such as normal incandescent lamps at night, without flash and without having to poke the camera into people's faces. Cost not an issue. Any ideas please?

Thank you very much. Do you think I could take good indoor pics at night of the grandkids? Without flash? Just a couple of normal lamps in the room? It has only half the ISO of the more expensive new Nikon D-800. Is that a problem? Just to show how little I know, what is an 18MP CMOS sensor? Is that really good?
