Had a customer come in today asking what mb we can print at. He said a local store to him can only print at 2 mb. I actually dont know what my printer can do??? Anyone know roughly what most printers can handle?
Cheers,

I think if you shoot an image with your D1H and then open one of the files you can find the "native" resolution stated somewhere. I shot on Sunday and my files are around 2.5MB and the native size of the shot is about 8.5 x 13 at 300DPI. I have been able to get great images up to 16x20 using images this size. Based on that I would guess that you could print images at least 11 x 14 without any artifacts showing up.
Just have your lab make an 8x10 print out of a cropped part of your image. That should show you a lot.

Ok, Thanks alot massy. I think maybe I misconstrued what the customer was saying lol. I thought he was saying that his printer could only accept 2mb lol. Now youve answered my question I suppose that it what he was getting at. Thanks for your answer. Adam.
