I'm very happy with my 7 years old DIMAGE A200, but it's time to upgrade for something new and more portable compact not DSLR camera. The A200 is quite bulky. The minimum specs are the ones of my A200 or better (of course): 28-200mm equiv..; F2.8-3.5 F11 or faster; at least 2/3 inch sensor; Viewfinder is a must. There so many options around but I can't find a camera with the same or more performing specs. Any recommendation?

I never really got into loving music until I was old enough to hear all the bands & artists I had missed, due to being too young, or not born. I could love something from most genres, as long as it resonates in some way.

Just read your question, the G15 will be a great choice; if you don't need the use of a massive zoom, and you want better high ISO quality, the G15 will do you very well.

Thanks BJ for your comment....I like the G15 and I don't believe I'll find anything else with a better zoom as for today...I just hope I can shoot with it portraits with the same shallow DOF I have with my good old A200. Best

The G15 should manage shallow depth of field even better than your A200, with f1.8 at the widest angle, but it still has f2.8 at the maximum zoom setting, which should be great for portrait images.
