Hi,
I've been reading for a while, and going over the reviews section of this site for some time.
I have always been interested in photography but never really had the means (apart from the old $99 sanyo camera from years ago).
I have recently decided I'd like to turn this into more of an active hobby, working at skill over a period of time.
Trying to decide now though, is something like the Canon Powershot SX240HS ok as a starter camera? Whilst I learn all of the basics that is?
Or should I be looking at a more advanced camera?
I don't want to be buying AA batteries all the time, so would prefer a camera with inbuilt battery hence why the above appeals.
I'd appreciate any and all advice re camera selection - brands to avoid or to follow, features that are/aren't important etc.
thanking you in advance.
Haylz
