For the Monthly competition, I would like to suggest the theme: "self portrait".
I would also like to ask if it would be possible to only permit 'new' photographs taken specifically for the competition. This could be done by cunningly inserting a newspaper into the shot, so we can see the date. (If everyone has to do it, it won't be a disadvantage!)

What do you think?

I agree to say that "self portrait" is a good subject for potm, athough, with my ugly mug I woul be disaventtaged :-)

Not sure about the news paper bit though. That would be to much like an alquaeda video.

At the end of the day, does it matter if the picture was taken for the competition or ten years ago, when we all looked younger?

I've changed my mind. I don't think the newspaper thing would be a good idea. Any photo taken by the entrant would be fine.
