Hi,
how do you describe photojournalism and documentary photography: what is the difference for you? And do this 2 disciplines have in common?
TIA

Hi,
I struggle with this every day. I think that there's no consensus / clear definition allowing to distinguish from the two. (If you'd like to add to the confusion, try definining candid photography, reportage photography..)
Personally, I prefer to call myself a documentary photographer as it is, IMO, a broader term - I also write and work on complex projects. But many fine artists use the term photojournalist.

P.S. Just yesterday, when asked by a lab owner about what I did, I said "documentary". "Oh, paparazzi style" he grinned with understanding..
