Macro Lens

I have a Canon 10D, I am looking to purchase a Macro lens should I get a Canon lens or are any others like Sigma or Vivitar any good. It is a $$ Issue.

I've heard many good things about the Canon 100mm macro and Tamron 90mm macro. I've considered both but haven't decided yet.

I'm actually reasonably surprised that my Sigma 70-300 APO produces some decent macro shots. I believe it's a 1:2. The crazy thing is the working distance. At 300mm it's around 3 feet.

I have the Tamron 90mm 2.8 for my 300d. I love the lens, very sharp biggrin.gif
