A couple of weeks ago, my wife found a site that sells simple, low-cost table lamps that backlight and display color 8.5 x 11 inch inkjet prints. Well, actually, she bought one for each of us, including our three teens. We each chose our favorite photo, printed them on photo paper using the inkjet printer, put it in the lamp, and put’em in our rooms. The 8.5 x 11 print can be swapped in a flash, and the lit colors are mezmerizing, especially using a Daylight CFL bulb (5100K)---a frugal person’s faux digital (print) display. Jeanine changed hers to a nightlight using a 15watt bulb instead. My wife's an anique-er and here's hers.

wow. that sounds really interesting. I love the idea of back lighting images. I saw some canvases in a bar that were printed and then back lit. it looked brilliant. do they do any larger sizes that could be used for an eye-catching display? ... luci
