It's alot cheaper!...................sorry I cant tell you,I'm only a beginner of 12 months experience,,lens choice is an absoloute mine field,,,you read reviews which does nothing to help choice at all!...There are also a mass of third party lenses which are every bit as good if not better than their branded counterparts,,the answer is find a friend who has one you can try before you buy, save a hell of alot of bother and money in the long run!..............Ken
