Attention all you space cowboys and cowgirls:
In case you don't already know, I just found out that a new found comet is visible with the naked eye - Comet McNaught
It's currently both a morning and evening object, visible very low near the east-southeast horizon about 30 to 40 minutes before sunrise and very low near the west-southwest horizon about 30 to 40 minutes after sunset.
On Jan. 12, Comet McNaught's orbit will take it closer to the Sun than the planet Mercury. Solar radiation could cause the comet to become even brighter.
