I really need your help. I have a Nikon Coolpix P4 digital camera and while it worked very well for me for a while, lately any pictures that i take seem to dissapear. They must be stored as the capacity of my memory card is reduced with each picture taken but when i go to review they are not there and when I plug my camera into the computer the older photos are there but the new ones from about the last two weeks are gone. Has any one any ideas how I can retrieve my photos and prevent this from happening again? Please and thank you!

Do you have another memory card you can try out?

If the memory card is an SD card, they sometimes have a little lock thingy on the side that can get accidentally activated when pushing the card into a camera or reader. I'm not sure, but maybe such a thing can lock it from receiving new data.

Sounds very strange. You can try the following program, "Smart Recovery", to see if the photos are on your card and recover them.

Then try reformatting the card to try and repair it.
You should be able to use the Smart Recovery after formatting too, I think.
Good luck. Hope you get your photos back.
