Hi,
It is hard to say which one is the most best profesional, that depends on your requirement.
You need a SWF format file, burning a VCD/DVD or sharing online?
Bellows are kinds of Slide Show Software:
1. Free apps that can create photo slideshows.
Google’s Picasa, is a free software download from Google. Picasa can make photo slideshows with simple clicks and copy files to DVD media using both the "Backup" and "Gift CD" features, but DVDs create by Picasa can not be played on all types of DVD players.
Windows Movie Maker 2, included free in XP and Vista, helps to create AVI or WMA slideshows. Although it doesn’t natively burn DVDs playable by many DVD players, Windows Movie Maker has many powerful features (say exquisite effects) to magnetize users and adding DVD writing capabilities to Windows Movie Maker with inexpensive applications will figure it out.
2. Commercial apps wholly make for creating DVD slide shows.
Nero PhotoShow Deluxe 5 ($39.99) is famous and powerful software which includes a massive amount of slide-show-authoring options for photo DVDs. Nero has a 15-day trial for PhotoShow Deluxe, while the free PhotoDVD trial lets you create slide shows with up to 100 images. As a sub-product from Nero, it has highly stability on its writing capability.
DVD Slideshow Builder 4 ($39.95), another professional and popular app that can create DVD photo slideshows with photos, video clips and music in high-resolution HD DVD video format and burn directly. It provides a free trial version with Watermark on output, 30-day trial limitation. What it attract me is its plenty 2D/3D transitions and Ken-Burns effects.
3. Online Serve
Slide.com
some other slideshow software such as Flash Slideshow Builder, Flash Slideshow Maker, Proshow and etc.

Sothink SWF easy
It is the best combimation of Powerpoint and flash-making software. If you want you could add flash element in you slide show, which makes a slide show or your speech more active and animated.
i am not so good at computer, but i can manage it very well. the operating process is very easy, even an 8 years old boy can make it. So if you want you can try it for free!

there is no such best software,
you can only find the most suitable for you.
I think the most famous is adobe flash, but it's a little complicated to operate and more expensive, others like photo story platinum, which is not so powerful as adobe flash but very easy to use and cheaper(39$),i used to make slideshows with photo story platinum free demo versions, you can get free version here. it's a interesting to make all kinds of slideshows.
most important i choose it is for their customer service,i can ask them to help when i have problem with the software.
Hope this will help. photo story platinum

Who is the best professional slide show software?
Sorry on my bad English.
Sorry on my bad English.
I've used 3
Adobe Flash - CS4 - the learning curve is VERY steep - and it crashes MANY times a day, often taking your work with it. It has the most flexibility and can do the most, but until you are experienced, it can take DAYS to do a few fancy transitions. I cannot make it do high resolution slide shows (1080x1900) that run smoothly. There is often "jerkiness" in complex transitions. These go away if you reduce your resolution to "web" sizes : e.g.:400x600. There is a large user community, but NO direct support from Adobe - at least none that is useful.
SlideShow Gold: a GREAT program for putting out a quick slideshow with integrated mp3 sound. Somewhat limited in transitions. The developer of this has been GREAT about answering email questions, and adding suggested features.
Halfway between the two is SlideShow Studio, from Aquasoft. This company is in Germany, but they sell an English version. Their software allows you to build VERY sophisticated transitions, including "Ken Burns" type effects of transitions, zooming in, and panning across the image, stopping and zooming in at various places. It also does MANY nice animations with text, including entry, and exit animations. It is VERY stable, and seldom crashes. The email support for this program has been GREAT. However, their Forums are all in GERMAN, so there is no user community for English speaking users. This works great for high res (1080x1900), scrolls smooth, and does even transitions. (some are a little blocky looking at high-res.) It also supports multiple aspect ratios (4:3 and 16:9). I've run it's output through a HDMI into a HD TV, and it is very good. It has a built in photo editor that allows you to add very complex modifications to an image. My only complaint is the audio editing is a little rough.
Right now I am using SlideShow studio almost exclusively, but might switch back to Slideshow Gold for speed if I had a fairly simple slideshow to produce, just for speed.

We've created a portfolio website template that has a slideshow feature. I've started another thread to discuss but I thought I'd post it here too:
http://www.onlinegalleries.com.au/
I've also created video tutes for building your portfolio websites using flash:
http://www.swinburne...croller/ID-131/
http://www.swinburne...XML-data/ID-44/
Plenty more tutes on that site.
Hope that helps
Bill
