I put my 128 mb SanDisk flashcard into a kiosk at Kinko's in order to print out some photos. The kiosk read the chip, started displaying the photos then an error came up and the pic's disappeared. After putting the chip back in the camera it reads "memory card error". I've tried it several times with the same error message. Are my pic's gone? Is the chip now garbage? What gives?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Whoa...that is horrible. Adobe has a program for recovering lost pictures. I think I would try that with a card reader and your memory card.

Get this free software:

http://www.pcinspect.../uk/welcome.htm

Format the card in your camera.

Ask the software to recover the files on the camera drive letter.

It should recover all undamaged images...

Old post. But, I also would like to share my storied with you.
A month ago, my Cannon camera memory card unexpectedly became RAW and the inner photos and pictures also were inaccessible. However, all of my pictures and videos were there, including my family pictures. They were really important and precious for me. Therefore, in order to get them all back, I had done much researching.
Fortunately, at the help of memory card data recovery software, I finally restored all of my pictures and videos for free and formatted this card to fix its RAW problem. Now, I would get back both of my data and memory card.
Therefore, if someone also encounter similar memory card data recovery problem, he also could run this drive to take a chance.
Read more information of memory card recovery her: http://www.geeksdo.c...emory-card.html
Hope this helps.
