If you want to design, print and bind the complete calendar in your own home, you will enjoy calendar software like the "Art&Craft Calendars&Diaries" from greenstreet. This also allows to freely choose special papers, even when this may be more expensive in the end. If you want to create a thick photobook calendar with a story to each day or picture you should choose a photo book service like Printing-1. By far the best desk top and wall photo calendars come clearly from some of the online photo services like FotoInsight.
We have run a >> photo calendar test << of the three leading services.

Calendars are two basic types, types of small self-support office and the walls higher. There are many variations in these types - one page a week or once a month a few days and dates and space to record things. Whatever type you prefer, the only thing that will influence your choice is a work of art or photographs on the calendar.
