I was all but ready to order a Microtek i900 scanner when I ran across info on the 1800f. Any advice?

I've not heard of the 1800f before. Is it a replacement for the i900?

I will shy away from Microtek scanner anyhow. The hardware is okay, but software is terrible. Always pop up “program is not responding”…I am under this stress for almost 2 years.

One more tip, if they offer rebate coupon, don’t trust it. They will not redeem it with reason “you didn’t mail in all requested papers”. I did check three times before mailing!!!!! This make me not only lose expected bucks but also blocked me from returning the machine to THE BEST BUY (Original receipt was mailed to claim for rebate…).

I have the Microtek 1800f 1800f.It has amazing scan quality. But sometimes I have faced some software problem in this scanner. So I think you should go through another scanner.
