Hi, I was using my old D70 today and can view the images I've taken in the camera's screen, but when I put the compact flash card into my PC it says it needs to be formatted and none of the photos can be found. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any way to salvage photos from an obviously messed up compact flash card? Any and all suggestions appreciated!

Thanks, Lynn

Hi,

Have you tried to connect your camera to the computer with a usb cable/fw cable?

Do you have any recovery software? Sandisk usually include a free copy of this which does a deep scan and can often find images.

However.....if the card doesnt read that is NOT a good sign. I've had this and unless you take it to a specialist data recovery business it might be needed to get chucked sad.gif
