Hi, I'm looking for an Independent zoom lens to supplement the 24-85 on my Canon 20D. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations on the Tokina 24-200 ATX or Tamron 28-300 Di? Many thanks, Bill.

I agree with Mark the 28-75 2.8 Tamron is as sharp as the 24-70 2.8 L. At 1/3 the price it is a great investment.I think you have this range covered already. The Sigma 70-200 2.8 ex is a very sharp lens also. It will complement your 24-85.If you want to stick to a all in one zoom like a 28-200mm the Tokina is not bad.You have to understand that you give up sharpness and speed for the convenience of having a wide focal range. rolleyes.gif
