I just got a Canon AE-1 Program and whenever I put on the regular lens (I think it's a 52mm) it's almost too dark to see through the viewfinder. This doesn't happen with the other lens I have. Anybody know what the problem is here and how I can fix it?
Thanks :]

could be that aperture blades are stuck in the lens. at f.22 for example viewfinder will be dark, I don't know what lens u have, but try to set low f number and see if that helps.
in digital slrs for example, in the viewfinder u always see bright scene, because it stops down to required aperture only when u click shutter - in film manual cameras u see what u get. so at higher f number viewfinder gets dark.
I cannot think of anything else that could be a problem.
