Hi Guys, Fez here not much news to report, Panasonic are going around asking photo dealers to open accounts as they are not selling many cameras via hi-fi dealers.
Pentax has brought out it's range of 3 digital compact cameras onto the market and guess what it only makes 1/3 of the product range its-self, wonder who makes the other 2 - which reminds me of the HP with the Pentax lens.
Nikon may be into a tough time this year, the owners of Nikon (mitsubushi) are faceing a multi billion dollar lawsuit in the states due to them selling some cars which may or may not have a fault which could kill somebody or not, Nikon UK is one of the only divisions to make a profit and romours are going around that Nikon as a whole could be up for grabs if a pay out has to be settled.
Sigma could be about to launch a Olympus digital flash for the E series, tried to inquire about one the other week to be told ' no we dont make them but your the 6th person to ask for it this month I'll have to find out if Japan is shipping them across to us" - so is that yes they are out there or no they dont exist?.
A big farewell to all the Konica Minolta staff looking for new jobs due to another restructuring.
Thats about it this month.
