I am thinking about get a new digital camera - a small 5mp one like the cannon ixus. But somebody told me that a whole new load of camera phones are coming out that are more like phone cameras. I like my phone and thought it might be better to kill two birds with one stone!!!

Is this phone camera thing true - they will soon be as good as digital cameras? Is it worth the wait?

I just want to take nice pictures that I can print out to a decent size and in a perfect world txt the pictures to people if I want to.

Yes, cameraphones with 5, 6 and even 7 megapixels plus zoom lenses are being announced. What they didn't tell you was that they are only being released in the Far East at the moment - Europe for example has only just reached 2 megapixels. If you want a camera now, buy a dedicated digicam (in my humble opinion).
