You have your own digital SLR camera and know its basic functions and capacities. You are beginner or intermediate levels.
You know your aperture from your shutter speed and want to use them instinctively, allowing you to work effectively and creatively with your camera.
You've got ideas and projects but find yourself missing the technical depth or experience to realise them.

The Global Street and the Long Term Project, a five-day workshop by award-winning photographer George Georgiou.

The workshop will help you consider the Global Street as a subject and concept for contemporary photographic practice with the specific focus of working towards a long term project. Incorporating practical tuition, assignments, group and individual feedback, the workshop will give participants the tools they need to embark on or continue a substantial body of work. The workshop will take place from Wednesday to Sunday (inclusive) and will culminate in a slideshow of work produced at the festival closing event on Sunday 17 July.

The London Street Photography Festival is proud to host the first UK exhibition of the most talked about photography phenomenon in recent months: Vivian Maier.

Forty-eight framed prints will be exhibited, both black and white and colour, alongside a selection of her fascinating silent films.

Pinhole Camera With Madaleine Trigg

Go back in time and wander the streets of King's Cross with a pinhole camera, re-discovering the contemporary urban environment using back-to-basics techniques.

The workshop will be lead by Madaleine Trigg, a visual artist, performer and photographer who engages numerous techniques in the manipulation of the image, including camera less photography, alternative photographic processes, Photoshop and holographic projections. All materials will be included.
