Yes, Photos deleted from the memory card can be recovered. When you press delete command, the images do not shows up in the camera, but the images are still present in the FAT of the memory card which can only be recovered by some data recovery software. So stop using the camera further to avoid overwriting.

The software are available in paid as well as free versions. You can try downloading them from internet.

You can download photo recovery software online from http://www.retrievephotos.com. Then insert the memory card into the card reader or connect your camera through USB port to your computer. Follow the steps and restore the photos in your specified location. Then after keeping backup of the photos, you can format the memory card.
