In Topic: What Mb Can You Print At?

I think if you shoot an image with your D1H and then open one of the files you can find the "native" resolution stated somewhere. I shot on Sunday and my files are around 2.5MB and the native size of the shot is about 8.5 x 13 at 300DPI. I have been able to get great images up to 16x20 using images this size. Based on that I would guess that you could print images at least 11 x 14 without any artifacts showing up.

Just have your lab make an 8x10 print out of a cropped part of your image. That should show you a lot.

Decreasing clutter is a reliable technique and the easiest means of drawing attention to a picture's subject. Avoid too bright or too colorful backgrounds that could easily distract the viewer's eye. If it is not possible to avoid the clutter, focus the lens in such a way that the background gets blurred. This makes viewers focus more on the subject than the background.
