I have two cameras for you.

Nikon Coolpix P510
image of the Nikon Coolpix P510 digital camera With a 42x lens, the Nikon P510 continues offering excellent optical performance, even as it reaches to such extremes as 24-1,000mm equivalent. A high-res 3-inch articulated LCD screen, comprehensive video modes, and built-in GPS are wrapped in a nimble body with excellent controls. Click here for our review of the Nikon Coolpix P510!

Res: 16.1mp
Zoom: 42.0x
Storage: SD, SDHC, SDXC
Compare Price: $350-430

If you want to buy canon camera,I think this one is for you.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 520 HS

Calling it the "world's thinnest," Canon designed the 520 HS to be simple as well as tiny, so don't look for manual exposure modes, but special modes like Handheld Night Scene and Super Slow-motion movies will let you get creative. Res: 10.1mp
Zoom: 12.0x
Storage: microSD, microSDHC
Compare Price: $198-359

These 2 cameras have too different price to compare.

true but i've just bought the Nikon Coolpix P500 (older brother of the P5100 but a fraction of the cost)for 200 and it is superb.
All the advice i have received is DO NOT buy the latest model of anything, get the predecessor it will have all the features you need for a fraction of the cost.
