(apologies - it should read ink in the title)
I think I’ve purchased fake ink and now my printer (Epson 3200) doesn’t work properly – have a few questions regarding this issue.
I've purchased “genuine” ink on ebay (that was the description of the item), from a seller I’ve used before – the ink cartridges were air sealed and had the yellow flap that you have to pull before inserting the cartridge. They didn’t come in a box though.
Everything worked well until past week when one of the colors (Photo Black) just stopped printing (color completely missing from the print).
I did print head cleaning – but it didn’t help.
Also, in the print window some cartridges appear with proper numbers and some don’t – and I get a warning that the cartridges are not genuine.
How can you tell when you buy “fake” cartridge and when it’s genuine?
Can I go back to the seller and ask for refund since the printer doesn’t recognize the ink?
Is the damage to print heads permanent – or will the issue be fixed if I bought it from a recognized store?
I would really appreciate any help with this
