I think you need an adapter to use FD lenses on the 60D, here is a link to someone wanting to know the same thing.

When you are in manual focus mode the focus conformation light in the viewfinder should still work when the subject is in focus via the selected focus point, you still need to activate the camera's meter by half pressing the shutter release, this works on my Nikon and I assume the Canon's are the same, hope this of some use.

Hi Sue
If you have a card reader i would use that to have a look to see exactly what's on the card, if there are any images on the card transfer them into a folder on your desktop, after doing this put the card back into the camera and format the card in camera, don't format the card via the computer, then take some shot and see if they are going onto the card.
If the images you have just taken are not on the card check to see if the card is not write protected, there's a wee slider switch on the left side of card as you look at it, the switch should be in the up position, you could also check the card is compatible with the camera.
If you have another card see if that one works, you may be unlucky and have a defective card, also I doubt the internal memory would hold that many images, 1328 is quite a lot if you are shooting at the highest resolution, hope this helps.

hi
I wouldn't worry about any lens error and the in built microphones on most cameras pick up auto focus noise, not sure if this one has an external mic input but that's the way to avoid auto focus noise.
I don't think the camera is too advanced for you, if you get it and read and understand the manual you will get some wonderful images and HD video from this camera, if at a later date you want to upgrade you will have no problem selling it, hope this helps

Hi
There is a review of this camera here http://www.photograp...ot_s100_review/.
You also may want to look at camera labs.com, they also do a very good review of this camera, from what I have read the s100 is a very capable camera marred only by it battery life, hope this helps.
