When one thinks of Massachusetts lighthouses, Cape Cod is usually the first place one tends to look. But the "mainland" also has many lighthouses as well. Space only permits a few images, so enjoy!

1) The quaint Annisquam Light, located at Cape Ann, just outside of Gloucester.

2) Plum Island Light in the morning. Plum Island can be reached by road from Newburyport.

3) Ned's Point Light, in Mattapoisett, heading towards Fall River. Mattapoisett is also known among locals for its giant seahorse sign.

4) Winter Island (a.k.a. Fort Pickering) Light in Salem, with a little splash thrown in for good measure. This is about as low as I will shoot without actually being in the ocean!
