Check out this new website that my friend just put up. The BuzzWorx Photography Contest is a showcase for new and emerging artists. Winners of the competition will be featured in exhibition at the BuzzWorx gallery in Louisville, Kentucky and will be eligible for prizes and awards. The contest is open to all photographers, both professional and amateur.
Winning works will be displayed in the BuzzWorx Gallery which is located in downtown Louisville, near landmarks such as the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the Louisville Science Center. They will be displayed during the busy Kentucky Derby Festival season in April 2006. The Kentucky Derby Festival was awarded Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for April 2005. The Festival entertains more than 1.5 million people from all over the world in a two-week period and has a local economic impact of more than $90 million. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
