Hello
The price of the Dynax 5D and 7D are pretty good right now.
What do people think might happen to the prices of these cameras?
Will they get sold off as really good bargains?
Or might a limit on supply mean that prices can be controlled?
I'm really miffed as I kept all my Minolta lenses when I got rid off my Dynax 9, with the intention of either getiing a 7D when its price went low - perhaps with the introduction of a better than 7D replacement - which obviously won't happen now.
I only went Minolta in 1999 because the Dynax 9 had a built in flash and the top of the range Canon SLR didn't !!!!

Hello
Shame I couldn't quite manage to spell DSLR properly in the topic!
I'm totally fed up now.
Rang around loads of local camera shops to find some with a Minolta 7D and got no where, apart from learning that even more local shops have gone out of business.
Found one Jessops that had a 5D and 7D in stock and popped in for a demo.
To my horror, as soon as I put these cameras in my hand I knew that I just did not want them. Just didn't feel right.
Hated the viewfinder on the 5D and didn't even bother getting a battery put in a 7D. Too many buttons in a very crowded space, just asking for clumsy errors.
Out of desperation to justify my keeping my Minolta lenses I decided to get the 5D on a buy now pay later deal, but luckily I discovered that I didn't have my drivers licence with me for proof of address, so I couldn't proceed! Unfortunately I still can't find my licence, goodness knows where I've hidden it.
Now that my impulsiveness has cooled down, I think I'll wait on either a mega price drop, or on Sony maybe bringing out a Minolta lens fit DSLR.
Worst thing is that I've been walking every weekend lately with a ramblers group and one lady has a Canon DSLR and I'm gettting serious camera envy!
Cheers
