Registration is now open for Cheryl Jacobs' new
workshop, "The Soul of the Portrait".

Last year's sold-out workshop was geared specifically
toward children's portraiture; in 2006, the workshop
will be expanded to include subjects of all ages.

The new workshop, "The Soul of the Portrait", will
include both the technical aspects of portraiture
(basic and advanced available light techniques, working
with the subject's environment, seeing subtleties in
composition, etc) and more importantly, the emotional
and psychological aspects of portraiture. Rather than
teaching her own style, Cheryl guides workshop
participants in identifying his or her unique style and
vision. Significant emphasis will be placed on bringing
all the elements together to create an honest, soulful
portrait.

In the past year, Cheryl's work and workshops have been
featured by Kodak, Black & White Photography Magazine
(UK), and the Analog Photography Users Group. Her
unique philosophy and teaching methods have drawn rave
reviews and remarkable results.

The 2006 UK workshop is scheduled for March 10 - 12,
2006 at beautiful West Dean College, Chichester, West
Sussex.
