Do you think it would be a good idea to limit the mumber of uploads in one day,as so often a member will flood the opening page with many photos.Today i noticed a member has put 13 photos oo at once.Personally i think the limit should be about three photos in a 24hr period.What do others think?

Good Idea I think!.....other sites limit you to only 1,,,I think 3 is a good number,leaves scope for a sequence of shots!

That's a thought, but I think it would be better just to limit the amount of uploaded photos that appear on the opening page to one per user.

Stewarts idea is an interesting one, if it's technically possible.

I think you're right Bridget, although personally I would prefer a limit of 5 or 6 a day.
Many of the active members sometimes post 5 or 6 photos and then maybe no more for a day or two. I think this isn't any real problem.
I do get annoyed though when, as you mentioned, I load a photo or 2 and then in 2 minutes it's been pushed off the front page by one person uploading 12 or 15 photos.

Another way maybe to stop that happening would be a maximum of 2 or 3 photos within one hour. Anyone wanting to load 12 photos can do it, but they will have to sit there for 5 or 6 hours to get it done.
I think this would prevent the main problem with minimal impact on the more reasonable uploaders.

That sounds reasonable. I have personally been one of the front page hoggers, but I felt awfully guilty doing it. Perhaps the front page could just be a showcase of random users' images uploaded on that day, or perhaps over the week or month. That would stop people worrying about being 'pushed off'.

Or...remove the random images and provide access to these by a link and leave the front page dedicated to previously uploaded images. Oh and with a risk of sounding boring I'd like to suggst a restriction on file sizes ..again.

I think it is a good idea, as to many to look at is to many to comment or rate,for the same user and you would probably skip them.

I have only been here for 3 days and i am already addicted!

Also being new, I'm just trying to add to my gallery. Then move to sections I want. I had no idea, they would be a page hog!

I would have a limit of 3 photo's in any 2 hour period. If this is possible to do it should sort the problem out

I wanted to apologize also...I had no clue and was told recently... I now only upload a total of 3 per day...sometimes maybe an extra one at night. ( 3 yesterday). So I wanted to say sorry. I had no clue. But I do agree with Rachel, it is addicting. It is a rush to hear what others have to say about your photos. I know that some of the helpful criticism I have gotten as made me see some subjects in a different light.
