I'm one more fellow looking for a compact digital camera before the summer comes (i'm going to bolivia for 3 monthes cool.gif )

So my camera should have :
- fast response time (especially between button is pressed and photo taken : I do not bear to shot something else than what I wanted to catch)
- wide angle : 28mm seems fine. It's more important to me than zoom bigger than x3.
- manual mode. I'm used to manual mode on other camera. This would ideally include manual focus, but I don't want to ask too much.
- Decent low light shot and/or image stabilisation. The idea is to be able to take photos indoor w/o flash. (speaking of : what's worth the F30 special flash mode? and F30 3200ISO mode)

Price range : 300 - 375 euros

So the Fuji F30 has everything except its lense is 36mm-108mm. I fear to really lack this feature. I'm amateur, I definitely want to progress, and have a carry everywhere camera, (maybe before buying a SLR in a few years).

So... with 28mm equiv. lenses, enter in competition :

- Panasonic DMC-LX1 : very noisy, cost more, but very attractive (to me) 16:9 format
- Panasonic DMC-FX01
- Canon PowerShot S80

I can't find datas on their responsiveness unsure.gif
