hey
has anyone heard about the new canon 22 megapixel cameras yet?
they are suppose to be floating around the US in a few photographers hands.
i want to know when they are coming out.
any help would be appreciated.

I've heard from several sources that there are 8000 new bodies in the US since November; they will be scrapped because of flaws that essentially have forced them to re-evaluate backward-compatibility with Canon lenses. The new ccd size has problems with sharpness on "old lenses" on the entire plane of the ccd (my description may not be accurate, but basically the jump from 16mp to 22 mp may mean all new digital lenses for the canon system moving forward.)
This means hang on to what you have; it's going to be awhile. Maybe not even this year!
