Now u just bought a nice digital camera. Took some snaps and are excited to see the results in print. U upload the snaps to ur PC, and adjust brightness etc. Make a CD and rush to lab for prints. See the prints, and... hey why the photo is so dark? I had calibrated my monitor (using adobe gamma), still!
I have faced this problem. Some of u might also. The question is, Adobe Gamma casks for Monitor Contrast & brightness to be set to max & reduce the brightness later to just be able to see the black square. Max. contrast & reduced brightness to value discovered during calibration does not give true contrast as the prints show. They are vastly different.
Now while editing in photoshop, what should be my contrast & brightness setting?
