Dear forum members:
Anyone has good or bad experiences of the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX Aspherical DG DF lens with the Canon EOS 10D camera such as not fully compatible/functional or have to rechip or reprogram the lens by Sigma to work properly with the Canon EOS 10D body? Could u pls share your experiences?

This isn't completely related, but have you considered the new Tamron 28-75mm Di lens? It sells for around £299 here in the UK and has been getting some good reviews recently.

I second Mark's comments re: the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 Di. I bought one a few weeks back and found it to be lightweight, fast, and tack-sharp cool.gif

Did you buy it in the UK Carl? If so, where from and how much? smile.gif

No Mark. I'm a Yank and bought it from B&H photo for $340 US.

$340! Here in the UK it retails for £299 - almost a one to one conversion, despite the £ being very strong against the $ at the moment sad.gif

Check this lens comparison site out. Not sure I agree with all the findings but it could be useful
