what does everyone go for? price, service, quick delivery?

I've stopped using people like Jessops and cheap net sites because the service is terrible. I'm using Edinburgh Cameras at the moment cos of their service, and honesty. Is anyone else using independents? Cobham, Bristol cameras, or any of them?

It'd be interesting to know why everyone is complaining about bad service when they have the choice..

All of the things you mention are important. Until you use a site though, how do you know (apart from price) what they are going to be like?

I have bought from many websites and have very rarely had bad service. One place I purchased from even put a larger memory card than advertised in the bundled box I ordered. A week later I noticed that their bundle packages had this larger size as standard so assume this was why they sent it. That was a nice touch.
And I bought a relative a waterproof case from another site and they rang to tell me it was out of stock. They then regularly updated me as to how my order was progressing. I didn't then mind the wait, as I was kept informed.
I have even had great service buying stuff of eBay - like a polarising filter.

I think that people are realising that to stay on top you need to provide great levels of service, price, speed of delivery etc. or you will stand no chance.

Rustydavo when you say you are using edinburgh cameras 'cos of their service and honesty, how do you mean? I notice they have a physical store. Do you purchase through the store or online? How do you measure honesty when buying online??
