hey all, was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on buying a large format printer. i want to print my own enlargments including some on canvas, i thought 36" was prob a good size.. i guess they run thru ink fairly quickly but how quick, is cheaper than getting them printed elsewhere in the long run. i've been told to look for nothing less than 600dpi? and lastly second hand ones off ebay? printers i guess wear out after a lot of use - is there anything to look for in second hand printers? also makes; epson needs cleaning alot ive been told, what about hp, canon or oce?

any advise really appreciated!

many thanks

alex.

If 600dpi and 36", HP DJ1055cm can be your choice. But it is an old model. HP company did not manufacture HP DJ1055cm' parts any more. If you buy this model. Maybe it will be a bit hard to get the parts for replacing.
So maybe HP DJ5000 or DJ5500 will be better.

Good luck.
