For many years I've used ACDSee95. This is a very small, simple, fast image viewer. It lets me view images as they are on the computer without any additional frills - which is perfect for me. Unfortunately it doesn't work on XP or Vista.

Anyone know of a similar (no frills whatsoever) viewer that will work?

Many thanks.

Try Picassa, from Google. Very fast image viewer.

Did your ACDsee install ok. If so try putting a shortcut on your desktop. Right click on the shortcut, go to properties, go to the compatability tab and select the operating system the software was designed for.
Might work.
However Picassa is a great little browser too, and its free.

Thanks for the reply Don.

I've already got Picasa2 and for me it does too much! ACDsee95 is just so small and ....simple (bit like me really!) that it does nothing but view images, very quickly.

ACDsee95 doesn't install on Vista or XP, I just get an error message.

Try Irfanview, however I think its a bit like Picassa.

Or try this XPicture. It is very basic and fast. It was made for Windows 2000 but it does work on XP. Just ignore the warning at the end.

The "freedownloadscentre" has other browsers too which may be worth a look.
Best of luck
