HI. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THERE IS A MODE PROGRAM ON A CANON D30 FOR SHOOTING IN BLACK & WHITE AS CANT GET MY BRAIN TO WORK WITH PHOTOSHOP(THE JOYS OF GETTING OLD).REGARDS MALKY.

I cannot help you with the question but if photoshop is too complicated download the free picasa2 from google.
Open the image and click the B&W option....john

You have a mode to shoot in your D30. Use it to get natural B&W photos.
Photoshop will not give a clear colour correction for you.

You can not get the good answers here.Although this is photography forum but i don not think that everyone is expert over here.But i do not discourage you, Try to ask this to Moderators.i think they can be knowledgeable.

To make any colour photo into black and white, use the saturation feature in any photo software and put saturation to zero..
