Full Version: Proving The Point Of Film

So a friend and I have set out a challenge for ourselves. To prove that film is still a viable option (or even disprove !?!?) we've found fully manual 35mm SLR camera's off ebay and seeing what we can shoot with them. Golden rules are the camera and lens must cost less than £20.00. So far the results are encouraging - see how we're doing at :

The Cheap Camera Hunt

Any comments will be welcome.

Also - please take part in our little survey on our site - we're getting good news on the lifespan of film !

Cheers

Of course, you realize that if you share the work and post something to the blog, digital processes are included somewhere in the workflow.

I hope you do share, it would be interesting to see what you come up with.

Great idea.
I've only taken up photography recently and use digital.
I have been considering film but dont have much in the way of spare cash.
After talking to a friend who used to shoot film i decided to bite the bullet.
i also decided on the e-bay route and have just bought two ZENIT 35mm SLR CAMERAS various lenses and two flashes.
Obviously i don't know how good they are going to be but you can't complain for £32.99 can you?

Hey,

I'm the other half of the duo taking part in the blog! We've posted quite a few photos now, including a lot from my recent trip to Barcelona. Pop over to the blog and let us know what you think!
