I want to use my granddads camera an I would like to get a telephoto/ zoom lens to try and take bird pictures. I'm seriously new to this and I have worked out it has a M42 screw mount now I'm wondering will any lens work so long as it fits or do i need to look for a lens that will work spesifically with this camera model. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Film cameras are now slowly wither away, but there is still a great crowd for him. Our list offers the best SLR camera to learn photography, how it should be taught. compact zoom lenses are still in the script and Focus Free camera is cheap and reliable, but it is dying a natural death.

Correct, M42 screw mount lenses will work with the camera.

I think you should go for the specific lenses for your camera. Because if you will try to set other lens in this camera then you may loose the picture quality.
