I'm a relative newcomer to digital photography and have a Nikon Coolpix 8800 (which has a zoom lens). I'm still in the process of understanding all its functions and recently bought a Jackar telephoto converter lens 3x specification. Have been experimenting with this but all photographs are noticeably out of focus, whether I shoot on auto or one of the other modes. Am wondering whether the Jackar lens is faulty, or the camera's faulty, or I'm faulty!

Has anybody experienced these problems/can anybody help? Getting very frustrated.
